Château MontPlaisir, charming guest house in Provence

Château MontPlaisir is a private mansion built in the late 17th century by a noble family from Avignon. Located in Provence, within the Enclave des Papes, in Valréas, in the north of Vaucluse, not far from Grignan, about 35 km from the Autoroute du Soleil, it is built on high ground, facing west, which offers breathtaking sunsets over the Ardèche mountains in the distance.

The castle is surrounded by terraces, decorated with fountains and pools.

The whole building has been completely renovated, respecting the charm and patina of the period materials.

The château, surrounded by vineyards, and the nearby winery, offer a unique setting for holidays with family and friends, or for welcoming groups. You will be charmed by the calm and beauty of the property and you will be able to enjoy the tourist riches and the art of living of our region, by exploring its vineyards and wines.

At Château Montplaisir, dinner at the table d'hôte is a true invitation to the French art of living.

In a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, depending on the season, dinner can be served in the dining room of the chateau or, from the start of the good weather, the tables are set up on the terrace, by the pool.

Guests enjoy the mild evening, the calm of the garden and a peaceful and intimate setting, with the spectacle of magnificent sunsets over the Ardèche mountains.

We create our menus based on seasonal produce supplied by local farms. We cook everything ourselves and prioritize organic ingredients to preserve the authenticity of local produce. We also offer vegetarian and vegan options.

Our dishes can be paired with wines from the estate.
